So far what a different winter we’re having from last year! I have some very confused plants. Having said that, I’ve just noticed that the sky looks heavy with snow. Oh dear!

I am just about to send our second email newsletter to those customers who signed up to receive it. I will only be sending them occasionally so if you would like to receive them please complete the form below and they will keep you up to date with what’s going on and with which plants are looking particularly good at the time. Sending these has been and still is, a huge learning curve for me so I’m feeling quite proud of myself at the moment!

A valued customer asked me the other day why her aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’ leaves had turned green. This is due to the low light levels over the winter months and as soon as the days begin to lengthen a little more she will notice that they regain their glossy blackness.

Don’t forget that we are taking bookings for our popular ‘Wine and Wander’ evenings and ‘Cake and Cuppa’ mornings and afternoons. Ideal for a spring or summer outing for whatever kind of group you belong to. See the About Us page for details. I have also begun to develop the sourcing of plants for garden designs so consider asking me if you need this service at any time.

Otherwise, remember that we are open every weekend from the end of March-October and by arrangement during the week and we will always be pleased to see you.

Happy gardening!
